Future Fuels

For over 50 years, heating oil has been a popular choice for homes off grid. However, there is an increasing realisation that collectively we all need to work together to tackle climate change and work toward achieving the UK’s net zero target on greenhouse emissions. Wherever possible, we need to make the switch from fossil fuels to renewable heating.

As a fuel supplier, Yorkshire Oils is committed to playing its part and moving in this direction too.

The good news is that customers don’t need to buy expensive new heating systems to acheive dramatic reductions in household emissions. This can be done by simply changing the type of fuel used and making minor modifications to existing boilers.

The liquid fuel heating industry is currently trialling a new fossil free alternative to heating oil called Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) that cuts emissions by 88%.

The renewable liquid fuel works well in all existing oil heating systems following a simple, cost effective conversion process.

Replacement Tanks

We have partnered with A1 Tank Services to offer you fuel tanks for business, agricultural and domestic purposes across Yorkshire and the North East.

Choose from a range of bunded Harlequin (650L to 10,000L) and Envirostore (1000L to 10,000L) heating oil tanks, each with their own 10 year manufacturer’s warranty.

Plus, A1 Tanks is an accredited installer of both Harlequin and Envirostore tanks and all their engineers are OFTEC qualified.
